Fish Swimming in Yucatan Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve Muyil Mexico

Natural Spring with native fish swimming in the Ojo de Agua at Sian Ka’an UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. Boarwalk trail meanders for about 1km across freshwater swamps, thickets and jungles.

The freshwater springs along the way hold many species of fish including cichlid. The trails here are ancient Mayan in construction that lead from the Muyil ruins to large freshwater lakes with Mayan dug canals.
