An environmental activist in Mexico speaks out to protect the planet

Our Game Changer is Pati Ruiz Corzo, an environmental activist from Mexico who has dedicated her life to sustainable development. She believes the extreme weather wreaking havoc on the planet is a result of climate change. But she hasn’t allowed that to discourage her work.

Over the past 30 years, she has been recognized for her efforts to protect a nature reserve in central Mexico. He work has earned her the world’s top environmental awards.

Corzo is the founder of the Sierra Gorda Ecological Group. She was a music teacher before becoming a conservationist. In fact, when she speaks at workshops she ends her speeches by singing. It’s her way to inspire others to join her mission.
