Interesting note:  For the last 80 years, the Marxists have been blaming the white Europeans for the downfall of the Mayans.  After all, with Marxism, they have to find a victim to label, and then they have to create an oppressor to blame.  However, the most recent evidence from NASA computer modeling, indicates that the Mayans caused their own demise through deforestation.  When a huge drought hit, at the peek of their civilization, the lack of vegetation created a huge dust-bowl, making it impossible for them to recover.  So, how long will it take to reverse all the damage done to the historical reputation of European explorers?

“during the spring and fall equinoxes, the great pyramid of Kukulcán serves as a visual symbol of the day and night as the sun of the late afternoon creates the illusion of a snake creeping slowly down the northern staircase. “
