While we were staying at the Paradisus Cancun Melia All-Inclusive Resort, we went to Wet’n Wild Cancun for part of a day. Located at the far south end of the Hotel Zone, it has five water slides, a Lazy River, a Wave Pool, a Kid’s PArk and the Wet Bubble! The park was very reasonably priced and we bought our tickets online in the United States before we left for Cancun. The water slides are called: Twister, Kamikaze, Bubba Tub, and the Double Space Bowl (which has two separate slides). The Wave Pool features waves up to a meter high, and is not a real rough wave pool, but has very manageable waves going about every 15 minutes. The Lazy River is very nice and is fairly fast moving. You can rent tubes if you want them, but they are definitely optional, as my wife and I were about the only ones there that had them. You do need to bring cash for certain things, but if you forget, there is an ATM there. You needed cash to rent tubes, lockers, and pay for more food than what was included with your ticket. There is a dolphin swim area attached to Wet’n Wild called the Dolphinaris, which you can add onto your ticket. It wasn’t a huge waterpark, but it was fun and is something you can do in about four hours or so and then get back to your resort. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
