5 Creepiest and Oldest Theme Park Attractions

Top 5 scary and old theme park rides

Ever felt disturbed by a ride or attraction? Most amusement parks have at least one creepy ride. Some might be intentionally or unintentionally scary. I’ll be counting down rides that are both creepy and old. Attractions from Disneyland or Universal Studious won’t be on this list, only ones that are obscure.

CORRECTIONS:
* knoebel is actually pronounced Kuh-No-bel

Monster Plantation is actually Monster Mansion in Six Flags Over Georgia now… and I can confirm it is just as creepy… me and my brother both find it extremely disturbing and we’re both young adults. The scariest part is that there are so many toddlers in line. Also at the end of the ride, there’s a giant fog horn signaling you leaving the caves. And it’s right in your ears. The animatronics are friendly but they look extremely creepy. There’s even a part where they’re playing carnival games with humans as the victims. And there’s a part where you go through this dark tunnel where all you can see are the animatronics eyes and it’s terrifying.

As a native Pennsylvanian, I’ve stayed at Knoebel’s several times. I think the scariest part of that amusement park is the camping area, which is less like actual camping and more like living like you’re in a homeless tent city for a week.
